This morning we had our Monthly Create & Take and we used a lovely Marianne Designs stamp set - Silhouette Ocean to make a great Mermaid scene card.
Caz created the card by cutting out the Studio Light Ocean View Die from Ocean Breeze Bazzill card. She then used Acetate to apply various Distress Oxide Inks. (Peacock Feather, Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean & Evergreen Bough) Splodge the colour onto a tile and then Spritz with water. Tap the Acetate onto the wet ink and then tap onto the card to create a fabulous random pattern. You can then add more colour to the fish and seaweed by using a dauber or paintbrush.
In the background Caz stamped the Marianne Sea Borders from the set, on the top and bottom in Evergreen Bough Ink and you can just see this poking out behind the front piece. There are a fantastic selection of Mermaids, fish, turtle and other bits on the stamp set and Caz chose the Mermaid, Dolphin and shoal of fish.
All the stamps were placed onto the Crafts Too Press to Impress Stamping Tool.
The front was stuck on using 3mm Sticky Pads.
Last decorative piece was adding the sequins and other pretties onto the two corners using the Buttons Galore Sea Level pack.
We hope you've enjoyed seeing this months Create & Take. We'll be back again next month.
